Every year since 1980 we have expanded our facility and testing capabilities to serve manufacturers better.
Our founder Mr. Jerry Plank witnessed testing at many manufacturer’s facilities in the 1970’s for a major NRTL. A common theme occurred where the manufacturer’s laboratories producing the data did not produce repeatable or accurate test results. Repeated trips occurred until the data was accurate. The root cause of the the data being suspicious or inaccurate was inadequate laboratory procedures and knowledge of key testing elements known by the NRTL but not known by the manufacturer.
As manufacturers struggled to test their own products invariably delays and cost overruns occurred such that all the funds and personnel were actually acting in a counter productive way. Wilger Testing operates our laboratory out of a necessity to produce 100 percent reliable data and save manufacturers ongoing costs for training, equipment, calibrations and the annual re-assessments which are costly.
